Storehouses of Wholesome Learning is a joint project of Italian and Dutch scholars 
aimed at the study of the transmission, development and dissemination of encyclopaedic knowledge 
from the Mediterranean area to North Western Europe until 1200. 
How was such knowledge transferred, how was it implemented and 
how did it find its way into the vernacular languages?
